Spruce Saddle 2010

Today, I went to Spruce Saddle in Beaver Creek, CO. The lodge is a cafeteria type of place. The noodles were cooked perfectly, though some stuck together. There was a plethora of Alfredo sauce, which was creamy and cheesy. I reviewed this restaurant previously. The 2007 recipe ranked #1 on the "Top Fettuccines of All Time" list and received a 10 of 10 rating. This year's Alfredo, however, was not quite as fabulous. It ranked a 9 of 10.

Seattle Ridge Day Lodge

There is a nice view of the area and good furniture. No fettuccine is available, but you can get Alfredo sauce on either penne or linguini. I ate linguini Alfredo. The linguini noodles were watery. Also, there was not enough salt in the sauce. The dish was, overall, rather bland and tasteless. Despite the lodge's being named "Best Day Lodge in the Country" by Snow Country magazine, the linguini Alfredo only got a 5.

Pallino Pastaria (SeaTac)

Pallino Pastaria (Seattle/Tacoma Int'L. Airport) on UrbanspoonPallino Pastaria was located inside of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. It wasn't a real restaurant - there were no waiters, plus you had to stand in line to order. Pallino's was an in-and-out chain food provider. The fettuccine Alfredo was creamy enough, and rather cheesy. The dish ranked a 7 of 10, quite average.

The Cheesecake Factory

Cheesecake Factory on UrbanspoonToday, we went to the Cheesecake Factory in Seattle, Washington. It was located on 700 Pike Street. The wait was quite long for others, about half of an hour, but my party beat the rush. The noodles were covered with a lot of creamy Alfredo sauce. Cheesy and tasty, the dish deserves an average 7 out of 10.

Rico's Pizza and Pasta

Rico's Pizza & Pasta on Urbanspoon Upon entering Rico's Pizza and Pasta, you are seated, inside or out, to find long breadsticks and warm marinara sauce. Rico's has very good lemonade. On a busy day, you wait about forty-five minutes for your food. The fettuccine Alfredo is OK. The fettuccine is quite moist. The thinnish Alfredo sauce is on the bottom of the plate, so it requires intense mixing. The pasta comes with two pieces of dry garlic bread. There is nothing extremely bad about the fettuccine, but nothing extremely good either. It deserves a 6. Urbanspoon rocks!

Spruce Saddle circa 2007

Circa 2007, Spruce Saddle Lodge in Beaver Creek, CO, USA had the best fettuccine Alfredo ever. 10 out of 10. Sadly, they change their recipe every year. So, I am destined to never have that perfect blend of Alfredo sauce and fettuccine noodles ever again...

Giuseppe's Depot Restaurant

Giuseppe's Depot Restaurant on UrbanspoonAt first, Giuseppe's was awesome. A definite Italian restaurant. It was located in a retired train depot, the veiws were interesting, as they were of train tracks. Then the food came. First of all, we got the drinks. The pink lemonade tasted immensely watery. You would not believe how much the fettuccine Alfredo tasted like macaroni and cheese! The fettuccine got a 2.
